Pine - Klinki

Size of tree and type of forest/location: A large softwood of the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
Description of wood: Heartwood straw to pale brown. Sapwood not readily distinguishable. Texture very fine and even. Grain straight. The wood is virtually identical with that of hoop pine but the density is slightly lower.
Dry density kg/m3: 450
Workability: Easy to work.
Durability:
Use: Furniture, joinery and plywood
Availability: Scarce
