Description of wood: Heartwood pale straw, becoming yellow after long exposure. Sapwood very narrow and hard to distinguish. Texture very fine and even. Grain straight.

Workability: Easy to work, turns, nails and finishes well. Gluing with epoxies and resorcinol sometimes presents difficulties. Good for steam bending.
Durability: Class 4
Use: Boatbuilding, turnery, carving, patternmaking, kitchen utensils, outdoor furniture
